Description

Within the massive range of C3 (1968-1982) Corvettes, many enthusiasts prefer the full steel bumper cars. Produced from 1968-1972, these Corvettes not only featured the stylish chrome front and rear bumpers, but also had the most power and performance compared to the later cars. Here we have a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible that was originally a California car. This well-cared for classic still wears its original Monaco Orange paint and its most recent owner had the car since 1987. Underneath that patina, the body is in amazing, “no-hit” condition boasting arrow-straight panels with even gaps. The various chrome and stainless-steel trim components as well as the glass are all original and present remarkably well for a car that’s over 50 years old. Although the body itself has never been repainted, the removable hardtop was repainted and there is a black soft top as well. A set of factory “turbine” style wheel covers fitted with new Firestone Silvertown redline tires along with a dealer-installed luggage rack complete the period correct look. The interior has been restored and looks great. The seats’ foam cushions were replaced when they were reupholstered and there is new carpeting as well. The door panels and dash pad are original, although a set of padded inserts were fitted to the door panels to better match the new upholstery. An AM/FM/Cassette audio system was installed at some point long ago (though it is missing its knobs). Everything works except the clock. Under the hood is the original 350/300 hp engine matched to the original Muncie M21 4-speed transmission, which sends the power to a 3.55-geared Positraction rear end. Note that the original smog equipment was kept and stowed away since new. We also have the distributor shielding, the original owner’s manual, spare tire and spare tune-up parts. The Corvette has just been serviced by our shop and is turn key ready. Out on the road this ‘69 Corvette drives just as you’d expect a well cared for car to drive, with plenty of power, a smooth-shifting gearbox, strong brakes and of course a soundtrack that only a high-compression (10.25:1) small block can sing. Remember, they're only original once! For more information or to see this captivating Corvette, just give us a call at 603-627-5595. Financing is offered through our approved lender, interesting trades are considered and enclosed shipping can be arranged.
