Comments: Picture yourself borrowing dads car to attend the local sock hop!  Introducing one of Chevrolet's rarest model years.  This 1958 Delray 2dr sedan is equipped with 348 tri-power, 4 spd. on the floor.  Built in Kansas city, MO, shipped from Indiana, this car has the original color scheme that screams class, Silver Blue over Snow crest white.  Exceptionally clean, orig. body with only one year with this unique styling.  Under the hood has a W-block, 348 tri-power motor that's rated at 280hp from the factory.  3 Rochester, 2 barrel carbs beneath that beast of an air cleaner.  Chevrolet's first series of the RP0573-348 option cost $133.80 back in 1958!  The 4 spd. option was introduced in March of 1958.  The curved pencil shifter with the white shift ball is what you got back in 58.  Other options included: 35 amp generator, deluxe heater with outside/inside air vents, am radio "push button", fender skirts with 14" 7.50 wide white wall bias ply tires.  Notice the vintage air/heat that was professionally installed, and works great!  Super clean under the hood.  The exterior has unique body lines and compliments the color combo well.  2 models of the Delray were offered, the 2dr sedan and the utility model.  The sedan named the business man's sedan, was all wrapped up in style.  It had oversized room for extra loads and it's easy to get to rear compartment made cargo carrying easy and there was still room for 3 passengers.  the wide spread use of aluminum, stainless steel and chrome spelled quality.  This car has all it's orig. stainless, chrome and trim.  Approx. 180,000 Delrays were built and in 1958 it was the price leader.  Such models were used with fleet buyers , such as police dept. requiring the high horse power.  The interior has been restored with new carpet, seat foam, seat covers, restored dash cluster, orig. steering wheel (in beautiful condition.)  Outstanding drivability.  Mechanically and cosmetically sound, shifts smoothly and steers straight.  Comes with docs and window sticker, IN Title, books, manuals and jack assembly.  Room for the whole family.
