This 64 El Camino was originally built in LA Calif. #'s
matching 283 2V Black Plate Car. 2 spd. power glide,
manual steering, manual brakes. Originally equipped with
factory AC, however, the under dash unit is missing. Solid
orig. body panels, completely orig. sheet metal through out the
car. Some very small areas (4 or 5) of minimal surface
rust in the early stages, yet very solid. The under
carriage ha orig. floors with no evidence of rust or repair.
Solid orig. frame and rocker panels. Recent new dual
exhaust with OEM style mufflers. Michelin Radial WSW tires
P215/75R 14" with 14" Rally wheels. Full tinted glass,
replacement windshield, proper aligning doors, hood and rear
tail gate. Rock solid inside bed and tailgate area.
Faded exterior paint with clear coat peeling. Completely
orig. chrome bumpers admitting a slight haze, all orig. bright
work and stainless trim, orig. front grille in good condition,
but not perfect. The stainless trim along the bed rails
are in good condition and should be removed and polished.
Weathered emblems and tail light bezels should also be
replaced. Overall, the exterior needs complete paint and
very minimal exterior body work such as the trim polished and
restored and bumpers re chromed. The interior is overall
in very good condition, new seat covers, factory seat belts, new
carpet, new headliner, dash pad and instrument appliqué, factory
steering wheel (needs some work), clock, no radio, orig. jack
(behind the seat), no spare. Orig. door panels in good
condition, orig. door hardware inside looking slightly pitted.
We serviced the car with removal of the gas tank, cleaned and
treated the fuel tank, rebuilt the 2 barrel carb., removed and
replaced the spark plugs, points, fluids etc. The car runs
good, no smoke or any noises. Great solid winter project
or drive as is. |
