This 65 Corvette coupe has been in storage for the past 6 yrs.
It's powered by a 327/365hp solid lifter motor N.O.M., however,
the components are correct. 870 block, 186 double hump
heads, Winters 1965 alum intake, correct Holley carb. service
replacement. Orig. dated radiator expansion tank, fan,
pulleys are deep groove, correct dist., orig. shielding, correct
air cleaner element and alum valve covers. The car was
built Dec 30th 1964. Factory paint code AA Tuxedo Black.
The exterior is older paint that still has that high gloss shine
to the finish. A few areas has small cracks but overall,
shows well. M-21 trans., shifts smooth. Chrome,
trim, glass and bright work are all in very good condition.
Front and rear bumpers are nice and shiny. Repro K.O.
wheels, side exhaust gives this mid-year coupe lots of eye
appeal. Original Firestone 7.75x15" gold line bias ply
tires. Notice the interior which has been nicely restored.
Correct trim code 421 tan leather, new leather seat covers,
carpet, restored dash panel, console shift plate is in excellent
condition. Orig. jack and wrench, factory seat belts,
am/fm radio, 6500rpm redline, 80lb oil pressure gauge, all work
except the clock. The underside has a good solid frame.
Items being serviced are new rotors, pads, brake hoses,
complete new E-brake cables and shoes, also, master cylinder was
rebuilt and restored. New valve cover gaskets, all 4
calipers are in good shape. Fresh fluids and tune up will
get this 65 Corvette back in running condition after sitting for
the past 6 yrs. Presents itself well, considered a quality
driver. Basic, minor cosmetic work could make this car
show material. Just the sound of the side exhaust with the
solid lifter motor would excite any "Vette" enthusiast.
