Wow! Back at our showroom for the second time....Ground up
restoration just completed approximately 2500 miles ago. New
Bowtie 4 bolt main block, air flow research heads, Edelbrock
aluminum intake w/Holley 1000 CFM dual pumper carb.,Hooker
ceramic coated headers, MSD Pro Billet dist., MSD 6AL, MSD
wires, Aeroquip fitting through out with braided lines. 4 Core
aluminum radiator, deep groove pulleys, Alum, water pump. The
heads are ported and polished. Compression 14.00:1, 372cu. in.
displacement, roller motor, solid roller cam. shaft, roller
rockers, double roller timing chain, Jessel Valves, stud
girdles, ARP bolts, top notch performance built engine w/ all
the best parts. 649hp @ 8000 rpm, bore 4.125 stroke 3.480. What
a beasty motor! M21 close ratio 4 spd Muncie, Blowproof Bell
Housing, MarkWilliams light weight drive shaft, new Strange S60
Dana 4.56 rear, Lakewood subframe connector's CalTracs
adjustable traction bars, 15" Weld Racing wheels, power front
brakes, rear disc brakes, 3" Flowmaster exhaust w/Dynomax
mufflers driveshaft loop. Every nut and bolt under this car is
new. Stainless steel fuel and brake lines, Original gas tank
modified w/ sump dual Holley high volume fuel pumps w/ Aeroquip
fittings, New wiring under the hood, mirror finish red paint,
steel cowl hood. Rust free orig. doors, both new 1/2 rear
quarters, the trunk is solid, has had some minor repair. Battery
was in the trunk prior to restoration. Floors were
professionally replaced, highly detailed sub frame, front end
parts all new. Front and rear spoilers. Drag slicks w/skinnys up
front. Originally paint code "00" Corvette Bronze, introduced
mid year production. Let's talk about the interior, Black
standard seats, notice the deluxe door panels, tilt steering
wheel, console and gauges, Hurst shifter w/ T handle, line lock
6000 redline tach, 81,451 indicated miles, sport comp play back
tach w/shift lite. Original deluxe seat belts date coded. New
carpet, headliner, dash pad. Originally power windows came on
this Camaro Z28, which still work in the back seat. Original AM
radio, door hardware all new, the exterior glass, bright work,
trim bezels, side markers all excellent. Mirror finish red
w/white stripes, 2 stage base coat clear coat PPG system, proper
fit to hood, trunk and doors. We also have the original engine.
Unfortunately, the front of the pad has been decked, but the
casting date coded is...so proceeds the build date of the car.
We cannot sell it as a #'s matching motor, but we are certain it
is the original motor. Original rear is gone. $2800.00 was spent
on S-60 Dana by Strange engineering. No expense spared on
restoring this '68 Z, 649hp figure 15% less to the rear wheels.
A true 550hp machine. This car is no slouch! Recommended for the
expert driver/drag racer, NOT intended for the novice car
enthusiast!
