Comments: This Camaro Z28 is an X-77 with factory Cross Ram set up and a JL-8 rear disc brake option.  Fiberglass Cross Ram hood, burgundy with black stripes, front and rear spoilers.  Originally from OK, restored 10 years ago.  Driven only approx. 2,000 mi., in the  last 10 years.  A few Camaro enthusiasts noticed option code JL8, which put a set of Corvette disc brakes in the rear.  Chevy said 206 people ponied up $500.00 they charged for the JL-8 option.  Aesthetically, the Cross Ram is awesome especially the massive chrome topped air cleaner gleaming in place.  And function?? In terms of performance, the special induction system has demonstrated itself to be capable of helping produce an amazing 458hp from the 302 @ 7200RPM.  What a Beast!  stops on a dime.  Some upgrades were performed, however, the orig. parts are included.  This car was built for performance and handling.  Steer rods rack-in-pinion PS that is retro fitted, Tremic 5 spd. with 4.10 12 bolt Posi.  Flawless mirror finish, 2 stage base coat refinished in code 67 burgundy.  GM replacement full quarters, rust free GM doors and fenders.  Black standard interior is all in excellent condition.  8000RPM tach factory gauges, Rosewood wheel, am radio.  Perfect headliner, door panels, carpet and factory seat belts.  Hurst competition plus shifter, also, we have the original Hurst shifter.  Laser straight body and paint, perfect black vinyl top with no issues. Full tinted glass, brilliant bright work and chrome bumpers.  The under side still looks freshly refinished in 60% GM satin restoration paint.  All new front end components.  Suspension is new, even the leaf springs have the tags "EY", chambered exhaust, refinished gas tank.  Factory stamps on the firewall, non-original engine, but correct DZ dated motor.  202 heads, real factory Cross Ram set up with dual 4295 list 600 Holley service carbs, R-59 Delco battery T-3 headlights...simply stunning.  Today we recognize the legendary Cross Ram intake system as being one of the largest contributing factors responsible for helping establish the Camaro as the 1968-69 Trans Am champion.  Own a piece of race history, don't be fooled by a reproduction, the factory would put these set ups in the trunk and dealers would install them...this one's the REAL DEAL!  Invest now!  These are the most sought after 1st generation Trans Am racer!  very collectible, #2 condition.  Multiple trades welcome!
