Here is a 66 Mustang convertible factory C-Code 289/200hp which
was restored from the ground up. Built in Dearborn MI.
The car was stripped down to bare metal. Photos of the
restoration process indicated that the car was very solid.
Completely disassembled, doors, hood, trunk, fenders, front and
rear valances. Restored by Classic Car Restoration in
Hendersonville TN that specializes in 1965-73 Mustangs.
The finish of this Pony car is fantastic silver blue metallic.
The body line and paint are very straight, proper fitting doors,
hood and deck lid. New chrome bumper with a show quality
shine. Grille surround and grille are in excellent
condition. Restored bright work. The white
convertible top is power and in very good condition.
Complete new weather strip kit, tail light bezels, side view
mirror, radio antenna are all excellent. Under the hood is
bone stock, just like in 1966. Overall very clean, could
use minor detailing. The motor runs very well...pump the
gas twice and turn the key! Sounds great. 3 spd.
manual trans., that shifts smoothly with no effort. The
options are: am radio, power top, road style wheels and deluxe
Pony interior, fairly basic, but great looking. The
underside is very solid, detailed in a satin black finish.
Dual OEM style exhaust, recent front end components have
been replaced, ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, etc. Appears
to have it's orig. rear quarters. The glass is over all
very good, replacement windshield. The interior in the car
is overall excellent. New seat covers, dash pad, door
panels. All the hardware has a brilliant shine.
Factory shifter, the steering wheel is orig. and has a few minor
cracks, but overall good condition. Matching rubber Pony
mats and orig. am radio, that works! All the interior
lights work. Inside the trunk is as clean as can be.
Spare tire, jack and trunk mat. Imagine yourself behind
the wheel of this classic 66 convertible. Two thumbs up
everywhere...and your wife won't mind giving up her side of the
garage! Perfect summer ride. Financing available
