Directly from a private collection and never before offered for
sale, this 1950 Cadillac 62 Series 4 dr sedan is a classic
unrestored example with orig. paint, orig. interior, chrome etc.
This car looks like it came right from the showroom to this day.
25,,007 actual miles (according to the collector).
The car was purchased new at Dietrich Motor Car Co. in Allentown
PA on 11/4/50, sold locally to a family that barely drove it.
Lynton Green (a dark shade), tends to look black in different
lighting shows off the exceptionally straight body, no dents, or
door dings, or no rust. Brilliant chrome, stainless,
trim, glass, door handles, grille, headlight bezels, tail light
bezels are considered showroom quality. New correct wide
white wall tires, factory orig. hub caps bearing that brilliant
luster. The doors, windows, hood, and trunk open with
ease, with that perfect "click" sound every time.
Door jambs areas, have no paint work, no moisture or worn paint.
Beautiful original paint on the firewall and inner fenders.
Completely original weather strip, not dried out, cracked or
brittle, still soft and pliable. The car's 331-V8 engine
starts with a push button. Orig. Harrison radiator with
correct newer fan belts and radiator hoses, fuel pump, glass
fuel bowl, oil bath air cleaner element, smooth running and
always serviced mostly from the Cadillac dealership, then only
driven a few times a year. Equipped with PS.
Orig. paint and chalk markings and all orig. decals.
Brakes are serviced, wheel cylinders have been rebuilt, fuel
system is drained each winter, fresh gas with marine stabilizer.
The interior coachwork is fabulous, no wear or tear in here.
No fading and the seams are still tight. Headliner, seat
covers, carpet, door panels, arm rest pads, rear pkg. tray
are all in beautiful condition. Brilliant dash and
instrument cluster, beautiful chrome, dash bezel, am radio,
works. Rare power windows all work with no effort.
Perfect ivory steering wheel, no cracks in the wheel, gear
selector or turn signal, clock is inoperative, heater works, as
well as e-brake, interior lights and horn. None of the
interior metal trim is worn or faded, just beautiful and
original to the car. The trunk has its orig. spare tire,
jack, rubber mat with jack instruments and all in perfect shape,
with no moisture, just the orig. paint like the rest of the car.
The underside has light factory undercoating, and still looks
new. Probably, the finest orig. documented low mileage
1950 Cadillac around for being 62 yrs. old and well preserved.
Really nice flowing body lines and fender skirts gives this car
a more masculine look. A true collector's dream,
this perfectly cared for car has been pampered its whole life.
Makes a great investment, better than money in the bank!
