Comments: Acquired from a private collection, this European 350 SL Roadster was imported to the US from Germany in 1982, and has only had 2 owners over the past 29 years.  The recent owner maintained all service requirements, yet didn't drive it much, except for summer months.  This fine example is very rare due to the fact, it was the first year for the V8 option, as well as the 4 spd. gear box.  The exterior body and finish is in fine condition, orig. body panels, straight body lines, proper aligning doors, hood and rear deck lid. Beautiful chrome bumpers, trim and bright work.  Tinted glass is in perfect condition.  Replacement windshield.  2 tops, hard top is in A1 condition, black convertible top is in overall good condition, back window should be replaced.  The exterior has a high gloss luster and a high quality finish through out.  Up front, notice the Euro-style headlamps and fog lamps.  The front grille and chrome grille surround has a brilliant finish.  Front bumper guards, rear tail lamp bezels and rear trunk trim is overall in excellent condition.  We noticed 2 small scratches on the top of the trunk lid. Factory 14" alloy MB wheels, now 215/60R 14" black wall radial.  All the rubber plastic trim is also in extremely nice condition.  Under the hood is super clean.  Meticulously maintained with service records available.  New radiator, AC condenser, major tune up, fan belts, hoses, new battery, detailed engine compartment with no signs of rust, repairs or accidents noticed.  The under carriage is totally rust free, no signs of surface rust or repairs what so ever.  New exhaust system.  The drive train has no major oil leak issues.  Actually, overall, this SL is as dry as a bone underneath.  Well preserved in Reno Nevada (dry climate) kept this girl from the harsh elements. Spotless interior, NARD mahogany sport steering wheel, beautiful dash and instrument cluster, orig. Becker Europa II am/fm stereo, plays nice.  180,000 miles indicated, but pampered miles as you can see.  The interior appears to be original and is considered in A1 condition, seat covers have no wear or tear, door panels, console, wood graining, seat belts, head rest, back cargo area are all in fantastic condition.  Carpet appears to be changed.  Everything works, except for the clock. The car is very comfortable.  The trunk is also like new, orig. tools, full size spare tire, jack, orig. rubber mat and no moisture or rust in the trunk area.  Comes with an orig. Owner's Manual, service records and  MA Title.  Very collectible and a nice investment for the future.  This classic sports car is ready to whisk you away to your favorite destination.  Drop the top, and get in the driver's seat.  That is where you'll feel that chic European style and want to start your romantic fling, with the car, of course!  Dates are optional...
