Comments: This 65 convertible is a frame off restored car with only 5,330 miles since completed in 2000.  Back at our dealership for the 2nd time, we sold this vehicle back in 2002.  High quality restored with no expense spared.  the car was born a tri-power stock with no modification.  Options are:  Tri-power, 4 spd, M21 close ratio Muncie, PS, 14" Rally One's, buckets, console, dual speed wipers, super cooling HD, radiator and shroud, special blade fan and clutch, heavy loaded springs and shocks, AM push button radio, padded dash, splitters and a power top.  Originally came with 7.35 x 14" with WSW tires, now has Coker redlines radials.  Upgraded wood sport 3 spoke steering wheel, am/fm reproduction cassette player with Pontiac logo.  Orig. burgundy, switched to 1965 iris Mist during the restoration process.  Body as straight as can be, beautiful body lines for 11 year old paint.  Everything fits properly, high depth to the exterior finish, looks like glass.  Countless hours of labor went into priming, blocking, wet sanding to achieve the high gloss finish.  Restored bright work, stainless, low rocker mouldings, wheel opening mouldings, stainless splitters behind back wheels, back up lights work fine.  Beautiful tinted glass, newer replacement windshield, show quality chrome bumpers, orig. front grille, in super nice condition, front head light chrome bezels with new rubber insulator trim in great shape.  Door handles, chrome side view mirror, emblems are all excellent.  The rear section tail light bezels and rear trim across the back is restored pot metal.  The nicest you'll find and very expensive to restore.  Scoping down the side of this car is very impressive.  It is as straight as can be with illustrious paint.  Detailed under the hood, factory correct appearance, complete new wiring front to back, detailed engine bay, with minor touch up left to do where the heat exhaust ports discolored the  engine's finish.  Firewall, inner fenders, radiator support, underside of the hood is super clean.  Factory OEM style belts, hoses and clamps, new battery, Pos & Neg. cables, re cored 4-row radiator, washer bottle.  Proper body ground straps in place, single master brake cylinder, PS that turns on a dime! Correct #'s matching Block cast # 9778788, dated K-30-4 out 30th 1964, 77 heads, factory dual exhaust with Flow Master mufflers gives this old goat a nicely tuned sound.  New hood insulation, factory chrome valve covers, K&N tri-power filters with chrome air cleaner elements.  No slouch here, smooth shifting and acceleration.  Looking at the black convertible top being 11 yrs ago and still looks like new, no tears or cracks, clear plastic back window, power top goes up and down with out effort.  Restored inside convertible bows.  Checking out the interior of this GTO, it has been fully restored, new seat covers, carpet, door panels, padded dash, restored Rally dash cluster, tach, speedo, fuel, water temp and oil pressure gauge.  New plastic chrome gauge cluster, wood grain, re chromed latches, restored pot metal on heater selector, factory unrestored console, factory orig. Hurst shifter, no cracks in the wood wheel, new window felts, weather strip, quarter vent rubbers, rear window rubber trim, high gloss black mirror finish interior door frame, dash board and glove box, new door panels plastic chrome arm rest bases, arm rest pads.  New ignition switch, rear view mirror.  The seats are very firm and comfortable, all the side chrome trim pieces are brilliantly restored.  Everything works, heater horn, interior lights, radio, dash lights, all gauges, tach and speedo.  Restored smooth frame, refinished in satin black GM restoration paint, solid orig. inner rockers, complete new body mounts, new springs, gas tank, sending unit, solid rear trunk braces, the most common area to rust.  Original trunk pan, orig. left rear quarter, right one has been changed.  The only evidence of any sheet metal noticed.  Fuel lines, brake lines, e-brake system, shocks, front end components were replaced during the process.  Everything was rebuilt, including the engine, approx. 5,000 miles ago.  Spotless trunk with the factory spatter paint appearance.  Full size spare WSW tire, jack trunk mat GTO floor mats and black conv. boot. Terrific instrument grade true tri-power GTO, comes with PHS docs, some Owner history from when the car was restored, copies of previous owners Titles.  If you've been searching for a 1965 GTO, you should see this one.  Trades welcome, older or newer.
