A very highly optioned Pontiac Firebird 400 with a great
stance. Folder full of documentation and
photos and receipts included. Restored in the mid 90"s
that has retained a fresh luster that certainly draws the eye.
At the time of restoration, one rear quarter and one half
quarter were replaced. Completely disassembled to the bare
shell. Upon inspection, we found no evidence of floor
replacement. Orig. factory trunk pan. New sub frame
bushings replaced with complete front suspension components as
well. Stainless steel brake and fuel lines,
OEM dual exhaust with 2 mufflers and the factory transverse
muffler in place for stock appearance and sound. New
emergency brake system. Under carriage painted correct 60%
gloss finish. Very shiny and straight. The
Regimental Red factory color is nicely offset by a recent black
vinyl top, (changed from the orig. white top). New rear
bumper with clean tail light trim bezels. Wheelhouse mouldings replaced, new door handles and window felts.
Under door condition is solid and has no rust or scaling issues.
Bright work appears original and in good condition. Orig.
front bumper with slight haze but correct. 400 emblem in
place. Under the new Goodmark reproduction hood sits a 455
Pontiac engine. YH code 455/360hp w/ 1967 670 heads, D Port
Ram Air exhaust manifolds. The original 400 WZ block heads
are available and included. Factory intake cast iron carb.
# 7029253UG 4 core radiator appears original. Motor runs
extremely well, engine bay needs only minor detailing.
Factory options: 400 325hp, M21 4 spd close ratio, Ralley
gauge cluster, hood mounted tach, custom sport wood steering
wheel, with tilt, front disc brakes, full soft ray tinted glass,
PW, ride and handling pkg, Saf-T-Trac rear axle Posi 355 gears,
rear defogger, remote outside driver's mirror, push button
stereo radio tape player, (now has aftermarket stereo cassette),
orig. console car (console possibly available), 14" Rallye
wheels with Firestone Fire hawks. Pontiac rubber floor
mats, cowl tag, comes with PHS docs and orig. broadcast sheet.
The interior has wood steering wheel, wood shifter, gauges, new
black bucket seat covers with orig. door panels, new carpet and
dash pad. Orig. headliner (has small hole above passenger
visor) We have replacement headliner to include. Rare
highly optioned 400 4 speed. Firebirds are a very
good investment cars, and this one is attractively priced.
