Description

This 1928 Chevrolet Capital AA Huckster 1/2 ton pickup has been with the same owner since 1969. According to the bill of sale and Massachusetts Title, this Pre-War utility Huckster has received an extensive amount of restoration work from the previous owner over the past 50-plus years. He stated that he had purchased all the pickup's oak wood, and then carefully built all the door frames, floor boards, bed, and side boards. These components were all pre-cut, fitted, sanded and then stained with several coats of satin shellac. The various iron hardware was also restored and painted satin black. By keeping all the original body panels and wood frames as templates, he was able to precisely remanufacture steel pressed panels to exact specifications. The original sheet metal on the truck's cab, hood, doors, fenders and running boards was actually in fairly good shape. The dashboard and instruments are all intact and the original door handles, window cranks, window regulators and door glass are included as well. While the original seat covers are in decent condition, we would reupholster them to bring the interior up to the level of the other restored components of the truck. This Huckster still has its original engine and a additional engine and transmission are included with the sale. The radiator has been restored including a re-coring. The windshield frame and front bumper have been re-chromed and several steel wheel rings are included as well. Obviously, this is a restoration project, but a lot of the heavy lifting has already been done and it has been done to a high standard. Everything is stored together in an enclosed trailer for anyone who would like to view the Hucksters components. Note that the Chevy comes with a original bill of sale from 1969 as well as an operation manual, owner's manual, engine specifications manual, an extensive amount of history and a Massachusetts title dated 1981. Trailer not included. For more information and/or to arrange an appointment, please call us at 603-627-5595.
