Description

Go to an antique and classic car show and if it's the cars of the 1920s and 1930s that light your fire, you'll see plenty of Fords and Chevys. But if you're looking for something different and interesting, you should check out this 1928 Dodge Brothers Senior Six coupe. The previous year marked the debut of the six-cylinder engine option; prior to that it was four-cylinder engines only for the brand. Here we have one of those roaring '20s Dodges which was given a frame-off restoration about 12 years ago and boasts an impressive all-original steel body. That rock-solid body features a beautiful green and black two-tone paint scheme that's nicely accented with the green 21-inch wooden wheels wearing wide-whitewall tires. The chrome radiator shell, headlight rings and bumpers are in good condition and add to the car's upscale look. The engine and trunk compartments are very clean as well. Inside, the light tan cloth upholstery looks and feels excellent, and the dash with its symmetrical instrument layout adds to the sense of style. Features include the tilt-out windshield and a single windshield wiper. Under the hood is that straight six that sends the power to the rear wheels via a three-speed manual gearbox. The Dodge's light weight, torquey engine, and big steering wheel (for leverage) contribute to the car's surprisingly easy to drive nature. Note that the car is in our shop for service and is not currently running as it needs a new fuel pump. With its combination of nice overall condition, rarity and low price, this nearly 100 year-old Dodge is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an interesting and fun antique car for short money. As such, we don't expect it to last long here. For more information or to schedule time to see this sharp classic, just give us a call at 603-627-5595. Financing is offered through our approved lender, interesting trades are welcome and enclosed shipping can be arranged.
