Check out a cruise night or a car show and you're bound to see some examples of the very popular "Tri-Five" (1955, 1956, 1957) Chevrolets. Signaling the end of stodgy styling and the debut of V8 power, it's no wonder these cars have legions of fans both young and old. Here we have a handsome 1955 Chevrolet 210 "Club Coupe”, aka a “post” coupe, meaning the side windows are framed and it has a B pillar (or “post”) as compared to the hardtop coupe, which has neither. This incredible restomod was done around 2010 and driven minimally since. Always properly maintained and stored, it sports a gorgeous and rock-solid CA body finished in Mopar Plum Crazy with Pearl White two-tone treatment. In addition to that gleaming paint, this ‘55 boasts brilliant chrome trim all around, including the various ornaments and the bumpers. The body panels are straight and solid, as is the car’s frame and floors. New wheels and tires consisting of Torq Thrust wheels fitted with modern General radials finish off the Chevy's massive curb appeal. Inside, the custom interior is pristine as everything from the headliner to the seats, door panels and floors looks and fits great. The two-tone gray upholstery is highlighted with purple piping, tying it in with the exterior color scheme and there’s plenty of room on those well-padded seats to take your friends and family along for a cruise. Other highlights of the interior include a tilt steering wheel, custom gauges and an old-school AM/FM/Cassette sound system. Under the hood there's a potent 383 Stroker V8 built with an MSD ignition, Edelbrock intake, Quick Fuel 750 cfm carb, forged crank/pistons, Hooker ceramic headers, and a Griffin heavy-duty aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Output is estimated at 450+ horsepower and Valvoline VR1 20W-50 oil has been used since day one. Providing the proper soundtrack is a dual exhaust system with electronically-controlled muffler cut-outs. A Muncie M20 4-speed gearbox with a new McLeod clutch and Hurst shifter with Line-lock sends all that power to a Quick Performance 3.89-geared Ford 9-inch rear end with racing axles. Front disc/ rear drum brakes with a modern dual master cylinder setup provide confident braking power while a power steering upgrade, a custom one-inch sway bar and rear air shocks improve the handling and ride. Checking all the boxes, this gorgeous '55 Chevy restomod looks, runs, drives and sounds absolutely amazing.
