Check out a cruise night or a car show and you're bound to see some examples of the very popular "Tri-Five" (1955, 1956, 1957) Chevrolets. Signaling the end of stodgy styling and the debut of V8 power, it's no wonder these cars have legions of fans. Whether restored to factory correct-condition or hot rodded, a Tri-Five is a terrific choice. Here we have an amazing, frame-off restoration/ restomod of a rock-solid and original AZ body 1957 Chevy 210. Finished in the fetching factory color scheme of Surf Green with India Ivory, this car still has its original paint in the firewall, door jambs, trunk, and under the doors. The show quality respray and brilliant chrome/stainless-steel along with the Torq Thrust D-style wheels (with modern radial tires) make this 210 a stand-out at any Cars and Coffee event. Inside, the car is more Cadillac than Chevrolet, as custom leather upholstery and door panels were fitted. A keen eye will see that those thickly-padded seats were custom shaped for maximum comfort. Other upgrades include a Sun Super tach and a bank of four under-dash gauges. An AM/FM/Cassette audio system along with a power antenna provides the tunes. Under the broad hood beats the heart of a powerful 350 V8 with a Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, ceramic-coated headers and dual exhaust. That healthy mill sends the power to the rear wheels via a stout TH350 automatic transmission. Braking performance was likewise improved via an upgrade to front disc brakes with a dual master cylinder. Out on the road, this sharp Chevy runs, drives and sounds every bit as good as it looks.
