With its upscale exterior and interior treatment, the 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T was -- just as its Plymouth GTX cousin was billed -- a gentleman's muscle car. Upscale exterior touches and a luxurious interior with its buckets and console allowed one to enjoy the potent performance of the 440 Magnum V8 in comfort and style. As a 32,112-miles, extremely well-kept example, this 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T is already a very rare find. A lifelong resident of Barre, MA, the Coronet led a pampered, garaged life which is plainly evident once you see the car in person. Factor in the stunning "Turbine Bronze" color and indeed you'll likely not see another even at the larger car shows. That gleaming paint is the result of one high-quality respray done on an excellent, all-original sheet metal body that boasts proper panel alignment and even gaps. The bumpers and other chrome and brightwork trim are in fantastic condition as are the glass and original vinyl top. An extra set of door handles go with the car. The weather stripping around the doors and trunk has been replaced. The underside is equally impressive with its rock solid undercarriage, floors and torque boxes. Original 14-inch Rally wheels with redline radial tires finish off the car's impressive looks. The trunk pan is in great shape with no signs of rust or repair work, and it still contains the original jack as well as a spare tire. Inside, you'll note the original black upholstery and console are still in great condition, and the dash contains the original tachometer, part of the instrument package that came on the R/T. That powerhouse 440 Magnum was rebuilt less than 2,000 miles ago, comes with dyno sheets and has been fitted with a new 2.5-inch dual exhaust system. Yes, this car drives and sounds as good as it looks. All those horses run through a bulletproof Torqueflite automatic and 3.23-geared Sure Grip rear end. Power steering and heavy-duty drum brakes round out the mechanical resume. Inside, outside, underneath and out on the road, this 1967 Coronet R/T is just incredibly nice.
