Description

Mopar convertibles are a rare sight indeed. Especially in the B bodies, such as the Satellite/Roadrunner and Coronet/Super Bee. Having a drop top in addition to a powerful V8 just boosts the fun factor even higher. Here we have one of these rarities – a 1969 Dodge Coronet 500 optioned with the 383 V8 as well as bucket seats power windows. Best of all, this is a three-owner and life-long sunny weather car, having spent its time in California, Georgia and Florida. Finished in its original hue of “Y2” Yellow accented with the 500's added chrome lower body trim and a set of Magnum 500 style chrome wheels, this Coronet 500 looks amazing. The original body panels are straight and rock-solid as is the impressively clean underside. The convertible top is original, in good condition and features a glass, not plastic, rear window. A unique seating arrangement up front combines the best of buckets and a bench setup. Between the bucket seats is a center cushion with a folding armrest that, when flipped up, allows another passenger to ride up front. So six can enjoy a top-down cruise! This Coronet is fairly loaded with options, as it has tinted glass, power steering, power brakes, power top, power windows, sport steering wheel with simulated wood rim, remote control driver’s sideview mirror, AM radio and a clock. Speaking of options, this Dodge was also ordered with a 383 V8. Originally a two-barrel setup with single exhaust, the engine was upgraded with a four-barrel carb and dual exhaust system. It’s matched up to the stout 727 Torque-Flite automatic transmission. The powertrain is original to the car, and it runs and sounds great. Step into it and this Coronet moves out with authority. Testament to the meticulous care the car has received, the Coronet comes with a binder full of documentation (including the original broadcast sheet) and maintenance receipts. .New Updated pictures of the undercarriage. Financing is offered through our approved lender, interesting trades are welcome and enclosed shipping can be arranged.
