Being a 1972 model year, this 442 represents the last year of the handsome 1970-1972 Cutlass body style as the following year would bring the controversially-styled, heavier and less potent "Colonnade" generation. The 442 is finished in factory "Radiant Green", a very rare color that was offered only this year. That gleaming color covers the impressive, all-original and arrow straight body panels that boast proper alignment. The proper white hood patches and bodyside 442 stripes, along with the chrome "Super Stock" style wheels wearing BF Goodrich T/As, add to the incredible presence this "last of the good ones" 442 has. Inside the crisp, brilliant white interior the 442 is equipped with the Strato bucket seats, center console (with Hurst "His and Hers" dual-gate ratchet shifter), a restored instrument cluster (including tach and rally gauges), power steering, manual front disc brakes, AM/FM radio and a driver's side remote mirror. Under the factory "Force Air" twin-scooped hood is a highly detailed engine bay packing the potent W-30 455 V8 that was rebuilt during the comprehensive restoration. Look under the 442 and you'll see that it was indeed the recipient of a complete frame-off restoration and only needs a light detailing to the underside to become what we call a "lasagna car", meaning so clean you could eat pasta off the floor pans and frame rails.
