Yes, that's the car's name; for 1972, the moniker "GTX" indicated an option package on the Road Runner that featured the 440 V8. This mighty Mopar is just out of long-term storage. Originally from Washington State it boasts 80% of its original paint. The interior is simply stunning as well, and very original. Highlights include the numbers-matching 440 4-barrel V8, pistol grip 4-speed, Dana 60 Sure-Grip rear end with 3.91 axle ratio, factory N96 Air-Grabber option, black-out hood treatment, "Tuff" steering wheel, dual chrome racing mirrors, strobe stripes, AM radio and center console. Then there's the fact that the car has just 23,137 actual miles on it, which is complemented by an original title and broadcast sheet. This is one of just 219 with the 440-4-barrel V8 and a 4-speed transmission. This super rare Mopar muscle car is currently in our shop for a full evaluation, servicing, and detailing before we determine the price on this beautiful original example. So far, we have determined that, through paint meter readings that there has been only 20% paint work. Given that, this Road Runner would still be considered "Survivor" class, as it would meet the requirement of having 80% original paint on the car.
