Early second-generation (1970 1/2 to 1973) Camaros have long been a favorite of Camaro enthusiasts. The Z28 is especially desirable thanks to its powerful 350 V8 and road hugging suspension. The car's iconic styling certainly doesn't hurt either. Optioned with the RS appearance package with its split bumper front end, an early second-gen Camaro looks even sharper. Here we have an incredible 1973 Camaro Z28 RS boasting just 19k original miles. This was a one owner car right up until 2023 and it still retains its original matching-numbers "L-82" 350 V8 and 4-speed powertrain. Of course, you'll notice the Camaro's amazing, all-original body at first, which has had one recent high-quality respray in the correct Dark Red (code 74). Note that the restorer had chosen to go without the white Z28 stripes (as the car originally had). As we are sticklers for detail, we ordered the correct stripe stencil kit and had them professionally applied. The original wheels have been restored and look great with their new BF Goodrich Radial T/As. The underside is so clean it qualifies for our "Lasagna Car" status, meaning we'd gladly eat our Sunday pasta off of the floor pans. Some of you may notice that the rear spoiler sports a "Z28" badge rather than the original-style decal, as the owner preferred the badge. Also, the car comes with a pint of the paint that it was refinished with, which is always nice to have. The super clean trunk still contains the original spare tire and jack. Inside, it's hard to believe that nearly everything you see is original to the car and over 50 years old apart from headliner and carpet. This classic Camaro also features power steering, power brakes, and power windows. Under the hood is the original high-output L-82 350 V8 that's original and correct down to the still-installed smog equipment. A funny bit of trivia is that while the L-82 came standard on the Z28, it was optional on the Corvette. That spirited V8 sends its power through a close-ratio Muncie 4-speed and on to the 3.73-geared Positraction rear end. It drives incredibly well, and it sounds fantastic doing so thanks to a new exhaust system. This 1973 Camaro RS Z28 finally received its white stripes on July 15th. After patiently waiting, it shows extremely well that you'll find that you can feel the edge of the stripes like the factory installed them. As they say, they're only original once and this super desirable Z28 presents a rare opportunity.
