For many 2nd generation F-body enthusiasts, the 1970-1973 Trans Am is the one to have. The aggressive and distinctly Pontiac dual port nose along with the handsome overall styling powerhouse engines make the early 2nd gen hard to resist. Here we have an incredible 1973 Trans Am that was formerly owned by a very fussy 2nd gen F-body enthusiast (he also had the sharp 1971 Camaro SS 396 we have for sale). Pride of ownership is evident everywhere in this Trans Am. Powered by a date-code-correct replacement block 455 with the original heads and intake, this loaded Trans Am also sports a 4-speed manual transmission, A/C and an AM/FM stereo with 8 track. The car was restored as needed, and has new glass as well as rebuilt brakes and front/rear suspension. Top to bottom, front to back this car must be seen. The Buccaneer Red paint over the rock solid body is like new, as are the various decals. The interior similarly impresses and it's so clean underneath it earns our "Lasagna Car" designation. That means that the underside is so pristine that we'd eat our Sunday pasta off of it. Out on the road this car is a blast. The broad-shouldered 455 pushes you back in the seat as you run through the gears, accompanied by an awesome soundtrack that only a muscular V8 can provide. But make no mistake, this isn't just a straight-line thrills car, as the Trans Am was regarded as the best handling American car of the '70s. Yes, even including the Corvette. Whether you're blasting up an on-ramp or unraveling a twisty mountain road, this gorgeous Trans Am is sure to put a smile on your face.
