In 1982, Cadillac, even after "downsizing" its massive cars five years before, still produced luxury cars that were unmistakable as nothing but a Caddy. The still substantial size, stately styling and ultra-plush interiors stayed true to tradition. By this time Cadillac went to smaller, more fuel-efficient gas engines. Instead of a gargantuan and carbureted 8.2-liter (500 cubic-inch) V8 there was now a fuel-injected 4.1-liter V8. No matter, the cars still moved out in very silent and smooth fashion and cruised effortlessly on the highways.
