1987 Buick Regal Grand National Turbo

For 1987, Buick's Grand National was at its most potent for what would be its last year. The output from its turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 increased from 235 hp to 245 hp, though those figures were considered very conservative given how quick this car was. The car looked sinister as well, with its "dipped in black" color scheme. But there was another option for those who wanted the G.N.'s ripping performance in a more discreet wrapper, as any Regal could be ordered with that fearsome, force-fed V6. There was also an available "T" package that provided better handling via a firmer suspension and fancy wheels fitted with Goodyear performance tires. If a Regal was ordered with both the turbo 3.8 and the "T" package, , it was unofficially referred to as a "Turbo T". Note that these cars are considerably more rare than a Grand National with only 4,268 Regal Turbo Ts produced compared to over 20,000 Grand Nationals.
